We are currently recruiting for a main contractor, who are based in Essex and have recently secured a sizeable design & build project. Due to this recent award the contractor is keen to recruit an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor who has a good understanding of the commercial building sector and an astute knowledge of JCT form of contract.
Responsibilities:
The successful Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be reporting in to a Senior Quantity Surveyor and will be expected to have a good understanding of the cost management of a project and show strong commercial awareness
The company require someone with a thorough understanding of the construction industry, experience with a main contractor in an Assistant Quantity Surveying role, with the energy and enthusiasm to develop their skills to become a full Quantity Surveyor.
Remuneration:
- £25,000 - 28,000 per annum

Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years experience in Quantity Surveying.
- Main contractor background - essential.
- Educated to a high standard - Degree preferred.
- D&B project experience (JCT).
- Measurement & BOQs skills.
- Experience managing a ground work's package would be beneficial.
- Driving licence is essential.
