I hope you are keeping well and enjoying the on-going Olympic games. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and talk about the rapidly growing discipline of Project Controls.
Let’s start with my introduction. I am Anil Godhawale, Director of ProjCon Consultants Limited and Founder of ProjectControlsOnline.com. I have a background in mechanical engineering and finance and hold a wealth of accreditations which you can read about in detail on my LinkedIn profile. I have contributed to CIOB, UK as a member of TDWG to develop guidelines for accreditation in Time Management and the paperback version of "CPM Mechanics: The Critical Path Method of Modeling Project Execution Strategy" - widely acclaimed and written by Murray Woolf.
My work experience includes spending over 15 years in the international field and home office and I have explored Project Planning & Scheduling, Cost Engineering, EVA, Risk and Delay Claims Analysis with project values ranging from $10M to $1.5B in Petroleum & Chemicals, LNG regasification & liquefaction facilities, CCU’s (Carbon Capture Units), Power Projects and Pipelines.
I recently met representatives from Project Resource (PR) and came to feel that both PR and I are passionate about the subject of Project Controls and hence decided to write a series of blog posts for them. I hope my regular blog postings on technical aspects of Project Controls will be helpful to our community. We also hope that this knowledge sharing will help the community with their career progression and that PR’s expertise can help them reach those objectives.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts on my posts and answering any Project Controls questions you may have.
