Following on from my posts: Stand out from the crowd: take a Psychometric Assessment, Stand out from the crowd: Follow up your CV submission with a phone call and Stand out from the crowd: send me a video CV.
I have another top tip for you if you are seeking to STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD.
You need to be pro-active, creative, different and most of all persistent to shine bright to potential employers.
Tip 4
Thoroughly research the company
With the abundance of information now available via the web, there is absolutely no excuse for not knowing everything about your potential employer and even about the person that is interviewing you.
With reference to working for us. If you really wanted to work for us, one of the first things I would expect to see from you in a covering letter and a phone call would be a reason why, backed up with evidence of your reason. For example, it may be because you have read our team testimonials and took inspiration from them, and thought these Project Resource team members were similar to you. It could be that you been following our company growth via our blog posts, or our Facebook page, and as a successful person yourself want to work for a company that will challenge and motivate you, and so on...
Ask yourself this question. What information have you found that would really impress the interviewer on speaking to them? If your calling me then in the first instance the interviewer is me. Think about it, then pick up the phone and give me a call (01628-477744), be pro-active, sending your CV alone is not enough.
