Sample Job Interview Questions

Here some sample job interview questions to help you assess what motivates the job seeker you are interviewing.

• What goals, personal and professional have you set for yourself?
• When you retire, how will you assess the success of your career? What must you have achieved for you to feel satisfied with you accomplishments?
• What makes you different from your colleagues, personally and professionally, how do you feel this made you a valuable team member?
• Describe a situation in which you have motivated a colleague or provided leadership for others on your team.
• Describe the environment and culture in which you are most productive and happy.
• Imagine that you are receiving a prestigious industry award. What is the award? What have you done to receive it?

Remember that you are being interviewed as much as you are interviewing so consider how you ask and try to link your questions to the interviewees experience, this will often prompt more interesting answers.
