I joined Project Resource from a corporate banking environment,
working for HSBC. What attracted me to the Project Resource
opportunity was the chance to work in a job that allowed me to be
in control of my own earnings and development.
Working for Project Resource really has exceeded all my
expectations! We are very much at the forefront of the industries
we supply and have become the leaders in the professions we focus.
The company has grown dramatically since I joined in 2003 and
continues to have ambitious expansion plans. In four and half years
I progressed to a managerial position and opened our first regional
office in Solihull.
I have continued to progress my career and retain control of
what I do and achieve. I have helped and assisted in the
development of my team both professionally and personally, seeing
many of them prosper financially leading to house, car and holiday
purchases that they could not have imagined prior to joining
us.
There is no limit in terms of development for anyone that joins
us; it is purely down to hard work and belief. Four and a half
years of hard work got me to manager of my own office, anyone else
could achieve this (and possibly much quicker!). Now after 7 years
I am a Director within the business. I don't know many companies
where you can achieve that kind of development!
My main goals continue to be: my own personal development,
further regional expansion for Project Resource and development of
those around me to succeed in the same way that I have.

Before joining Project Resource I had a brief and disappointing
spell for another recruitment company and was very careful with my
next choice of job. The sheer belief from Derek and Bill (Company
Directors) made me feel that I would get the right training to
channel my energy and see rewards within six months.
We started off very small, there were only 3 people working for
the company (including 2 Directors) when I joined, I made 4. There
was (and still is) an air of excitement, because everyone was keen
to grow with the company. The company is a fun place to
work , we all work hard and we all see the results of our
labour.
At that early stage Bill and Derek's commitment to train me was
based more on my effort than my ability, they never gave up on me
and this is an important part of the company's ethos, if you give
them 100% then they will do the same in return, then you will
succeed.
I have enjoyed excellent career progression working at Project
Resource; starting as a junior consultant and progressing quickly
based on my billings and motivation. Since starting my Project
Resource career I have been promoted 4 times, based on merit.
Promotion is not based on time served. My career development has
been a relentless steep learning curve. The company's growth has
been based on individuals performing and hitting their targets
consistently, so it has been very clear to see our company grow as
a result of this, it is simple; the consultants get better, hit
targets and Project Resource grows.
We are at an exciting stage of company growth. New job
opportunities have arisen in Solihull and Reading, and will continue as
we expand to other UK or worldwide office locations. We are looking
for experienced recruitment consultants or sales professionals to
add to our experienced team, and we are also looking for tenacious
and driven entry level sales people to join our team.
Project Resource has proved to me and other team members that if
you are ambitious, the company can help you achieve your career
goals.
When I think about the future I realise that there has been no
time for me to settle since I have been here, which is one of the
reasons I have enjoyed working here. I want to continue to progress
and fulfil my potential and life goals. One day I would like to be
a company Director/Partner in the business. I have the best of both
worlds: the support of two directors who can help me become a
strong leader/manager; and reap the benefits of a company owner
without the stress and loneliness of running my own business.

I joined Project Resource in 2005, the time has flown by and
although every day is a new challenge, it has been thoroughly
enjoyable.
After a disappointing six months on a graduate scheme within the
financial sector and an enjoyable two years travelling abroad, I
started at Project Resource with the sole aim of pursuing a serious
career. Joining a growing recruitment company, there were clear
opportunities for progression available and this was the main
motivating factor behind my decision to join Project Resource.
Upon joining, I found a well-structured training program and
constant mentoring to ensure that all areas of my personal
development were addressed. There is a constant support network
available and the Directors have been extremely supportive in the
development of my leadership training, through a combination of
situation training and external courses.
I have achieved a great deal of success during my time with
Project Resource and as one of the company's top billers, a
recognised role-model (as voted for by colleagues!) and now a
manager, it is all down to one thing….hard work and great support
from the team. I am a strong believer in that "you get out, what
you put in", and I am delighted I found a company with a
meritocracy that rewards those most deserving. Those who tend to
succeed with us are those who listen to their customers and are
willing to go that extra mile and work that little bit harder to
satisfy their demands.
Although it may sound somewhat cheesy, my lifestyle has changed
for the better since I joined Project Resource. The rewards that I
have gained from all of my hard work have allowed me to progress
rapidly up the property ladder, take lavish holidays and generally
enjoy the finer things in life! I've also made some great friends
along the way and progressing together has turned us into a tightly
knit group. This is also aided by our quarterly holiday targets to
top European destinations, which we can only
hit by pulling together and achieving our team and company
targets.
I am the sort of person who is never satisfied by my
achievements; I am always looking at the next goal, the next
target, the next opportunity, etc. The opportunities for the future
are certainly there; I am particularly interested in foreign travel
and thus have one eye on opening my own overseas office with
Project Resource when we are all ready. We aim to continue the
growth of the business, but still keep the same "family" mentality
that served us well as a small enterprise.
I can safely say that working for Project Resource has exceeded
my expectations and I have no doubt it will continue to do so in
the future.

I joined Project Resource in 2007 as a Junior Recruitment
Consultant as it was obvious from my first interview with the
business that Project Resource was a dynamic and forward thinking
company.
My previous job had been within the sales team of an
international communications company; and after 7 years service I
had grown disillusioned with my role; and was seeking an employer
that would reward my input and allow my career to develop at my own
pace with no limitations.
Project Resource has certainly provided me with exactly the
right type of working environment which has seen my career thrive.
I was promoted twice within my first year with the business and
provided with my own Junior Consultants to train and manage. The
highlight of my career as a Recruitment Consultant was consistently
exceeding targets set and earning a place in the company record
book for best ever months.
In 2008 I took maternity leave and returned to the business as
Client Services Manager in January 2009. This new role reported
directly to our Sales Director and provided me with responsibility
for all aspects of service and delivery at Project Resource. It
required me to become part of the Senior Management Team and attend
monthly meetings and report to our Board of Directors when
required.
Project Resource have ensured that I am fully supported in this
role and have provided me with a flexible working contract which
ensures that I can work from any of our offices, home or
remotely.
Perhaps the achievement that I am most proud of during my career
with Project Resource is that both my peers and the board of
Directors trust me to push new boundaries. The position of Client
Services Manager didn't exist prior to 2009; and there are no
limitations or set agendas of where it has to lead me.
Looking forward to the future I am about to begin an exciting
and challenging project which will see me creating and implementing
a Customer Service strategy for Project Resource. Beyond this I
have two key long term aims which involve growing and developing a
strong team to support my work and to ultimately become a Director.
To some the latter may seem like a "pie in the sky" aim; however I
know that the beauty of our business is that if you are prepared to
put the work in your efforts will be rewarded.

I originally joined Project Resource in 2005, and had an immensely
enjoyable time with the company over the next 3 years. Prior to
joining the company I had accumulated 2 years of sales and account
management experience, but I wanted to further expand my skill set
in a more progressive environment. Project Resource offered a
meritocracy, a vastly experienced and highly ambitious management
team, and the opportunity for genuine career progression. This was
exactly what I wanted, and I jumped at the opportunity to be part
of the business. My initial stint with the company was a massive
success, and I enjoyed training, career progression, various
company trips abroad to reward our success, a number of promotions
and a great working environment.
After 3 years with the business, I was keen to broaden my
horizons as much from a personal perspective as a professional one,
and decided to head over to Dubai in March 2008. Gaining an insight
into life in a different culture was hugely enjoyable and
enlightening for me, and from a professional perspective I had the
opportunity to experience a totally different way of recruiting
having worked for both a large FTSE 250 recruitment company and a
smaller niche construction recruitment consultancy. I also saw the
back end of the boom era in Dubai and felt the full force of the
recession, as it struck the construction sector viciously over
there.
Working abroad was always a 2-3 year plan, and throughout this
period the senior management at Project Resource went out of their
way to keep me informed of developments within the business, and to
ensure the door was always open for a return. It was this personal
approach, the development of the company and the ambition they
continued to show throughout the recession that made rejoining the
company an easy decision for me once I had decided my time in Dubai
had come to an end, despite other options both in the UK and
internationally. The company has evolved massively since I left.
Changes include;
- External training to complement the internal training
- A dedicated Client Services Manager to ensure best practice and
customer satisfaction
- 2 full time training and development coordinators for staff to
benefit from
- Various framework and PSL agreements with leading clients to
expand upon what was already in place
- A new website and blog
- 2 non exec Directors on the board to bring a wealth of
management experience and different insight to the company
To see a business develop and go from strength to strength in
this way, during a time when many competitors went out of business
altogether made it obvious that I would have a great opportunity by
rejoining the company.
In line with the continual career progression I have enjoyed
with Project Resource, my role upon returning is to run our
Northern business, starting by establishing an office in
Cheshire/Manchester (focussing on the North West) to help us
improve yet further on the service we offer to our clients. The
opportunity to run an office with full P&L responsibility is a
massive challenge, and one that I feel my experiences with Project
Resource and my experiences over the last 3 years has led to me
being ready for. Knowing I have the support of a highly successful
senior management team, and a great company infrastructure behind
me fills me with confidence, and I am looking forward to playing a
part in the continual evolution of Project Resource Limited.

I joined Project Resource in July 2008 to run the Planning and
Project Controls market for the Midlands and East Anglia.
With hard work and dedication, I have exceeded my own
expectations having been promoted every year since joining the
business; I currently head up the Permanent Recruitment team in our
Solihull office. Further to this, I am proud to hold the accolades
of being Top Billing Permanent Consultant for the past 2 years and
company role-model (as voted for by my colleagues!).
Prior to working at Project Resource, I had a strong sales
working background and graduated from the University of Birmingham
with a BSc Accounting and Finance.
I am driven by success and winning which runs through Project
Resource in our 'work hard, play hard' culture. All of this is
maintained without having a detrimental effect on others; we can
all progress together and pull the same direction.
Project Resource has provided me with the chance to be in
control of my destiny. I have had a clear development route since
day one and currently have another achievable target set in my
sights. Since joining the business I have been given the
opportunity to develop my career, hone many skills and gain huge
satisfaction from helping job seekers find work and also build
strong relationships with clients. Project Resource understand that
their consultants are the heart of the business and invest a lot of
time into personal development. I have recently been sent on an
external management training course which will not only help the
business develop but will lead to me gaining a professional
qualification upon completion also.'
My success so far has seen a change in my financial situation
for the better where I have been able to get on the property
ladder, own a car, take nice holidays and enjoy a more luxurious
life style.
Outside of work, I am a huge Wolverhampton Wanderers fan and
have had a season ticket since the age of 5. I travel home and away
to support the team and beyond this enjoy socialising with family
and friends.
