Balfour Beatty has been awarded a contract to deliver improvement works to Heathrow airport, which is valued at £170m.
The project, which has been awarded through the Heathrow Airport Limited Delivery Integrator Framework, will see Balfour Beatty upgrade screen and handling systems at Heathrow’s easter baggage hall.Balfour Beatty said that it will use the latest BIM techniques to allow the most efficient approach to design, manage logistics and to interface with live airport operations.
This announcement has come during the time when Heathrow has been told it will have to wait even longer for a decision on a new third runway, at least until a new Prime Minister has been appointed.
