It’s the start of a new year so we wanted to take a look at what 2019 has in store for the UK construction industry, and we think it makes for very positive reading!

Below we have put together some stats that show the number of projects across all sectors that have had contracts awarded for the work and are set to start in 2019. The data does not include projects that are currently in the planning phase, so we have no doubt that the figures below will increase as the year progresses.

We have also split projects based on cost to give you a good idea of how many larger projects are set to begin. So we have shown the number of projects that are valued between £5m to £99m set to start and also projects valued at £100m plus set to start.

This data has been provided by Glenigan.
