Location: South Oxfordshire

Salary: Circa £30,000 - 40,000 plus benefits

Our client is an established Building services consultancy based in Oxford who is looking for an accomplished Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer to join their team. The opportunity has come about due to the increase in projects and pipeline.


As an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer you will be responsible for working on project and designing solutions alongside an associate for the full array of electrical services from inception / feasibility through to detailed design and fully coordinated services.

As you will be working with a number of big named clients, it's important that you are representing the company when attending design meetings.

You will be expected to demonstrate your expertise on a number of projects in build sectors such as: Commercial, Residential (High Rise, Bespoke and Mixed Use), Industrial, Retail, Education and leisure. You will also have the opportunity to work on prestigious projects across stadia, hotels and retail parks.


  • You will have a relevant Degree in Electrical Design Engineering, minimum HND
  • Preferably chartered with CIBSE or IET but not essential.
  • REVIT and AutoCAD exposure/experience (preferential but not essential).
  • You will have an excellent knowledge of building services and all stages of the design processes.
  • You will have experience or exposure to NES software, Dialux or Relux lighting design software and Amtech design software.
  • You must have previous consultancy design experience within the UK construction sector as an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer.
  • You will have been responsible for meeting with clients, developing and producing reports on a daily basis in a previous position.
  • Excellent technical knowledge in your discipline
  • Thorough understanding of Building Services Design
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to motivate and manage a team
  • Experience in design and delivery of large to medium scale projects
