A fantastic career opportunity to work client side as a M&E Project Manager in the small works department managing and delivering multiple projects at one time, typically up to £500K each in value (on average up to 5 projects at any one time). The client is a Data Centre developer so some of the projects will be within a data centre environment, however the small works department also covers all general work across M&E and CSA.

Even during COVID this client has shown their ambitious growth plans by acquiring new land and securing of planning permission to build new data centres in the London region (as well as in mainland Europe). This has resulted in the need to hire a new Project Manager to work as part of the client team specifically with a focus on small work. This will involve managing multiple projects at one time up to the value of £500K.

The successful Project Manager will be offered a permanent contract only as the post holder will be offered realistic career advancement in years to come to move into the major projects team, covering all data centre new build and upgrade works ranging from £2M up £100M in value.

The client seeks a well rounded M&E Project Manager as the job will involve all facets of Project Management, taking projects from cradle to grave, including all financial responsibilities as well as any new direct hires within the small works department and putting jobs out to tender then appointing outside sub-contractors.

Experience Required:

  • Ideally Data Centre project experience, if not other critical environment construction experience will be considered e.g. Pharmaceutical.
  • Ideally Mechanical or Electrical bias, however CSA bias will be considered all long as the Project Manager has experience managing all disciplines.
  • Offer a proven track record managing all disciplines (MEP and CSA)
  • Offer a proven track record taking responsibility for all aspects within a project including H&S, financials/budgets, recruitment, project delivery and completion.

The successful Project Manager will need to be based in or near London as the job will be based on site or in the office 5 days a week which (City through to East London).
