Managing Quantity Surveyor

I am working on behalf of a well-established award winning consultancy who is seeking a Managing Quantity Surveyor to work on prestigious rail projects based in Birmingham.
The company has a strong reputation as a great employer and have an exciting portfolio of projects including Rail, Highways, Utilities, and commercial and work with a number of tier one contractors and national clients.
They are the market leader in the UK in the private and public sector and deliver complex and challenging projects across the country.
The client is looking for an ambitious Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a successful Rail Commercial Services team with a high profile and strong reputation for delivering high quality services.

Managing Quantity Surveyor Requirements:

  • Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (or equivalent)
  • Experience in at least two of the following: preparing tender and contract documentation, preparing estimates for rail infrastructure works, post-contract administration
  • A practical understanding of construction risk and commercial management
  • Experience of managing project commercial teams and supporting other colleagues.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the key commercial issues relating to works delivered in a railway environment
  • Experience in highways would also be beneficial.
