Senior M&E Project Manager

Denmark

Rate: £650 - £800 per day + Accommodation and Flights

Rotation: 10 days in country, 4 days home

This is a unique opportunity to work client side on an hyperscale new-build data centre construction project in Denmark. The client seeks a Senior M&E Project Manager to join the client team as a Client Representative to oversee the Contractor during the build as well as provide strategic advice and support to the overall Project.

The Senior M&E Project Manager will be based near site in Denmark with accommodation and flights paid by the client in addition to your salary. Any Senior M&E Project Manager will be able to rotate back to the UK if they want - Rotations will be on a 10 days in country, 4 days out of country basis.

The Senior M&E Project Manager will must have recent Data Centre construction experience and have comprehensive knowledge of the requirements for the modern high specification construction of data centres, with an in-depth understanding M&E systems. The ideal Senior M&E Project Manager will also offer the ability to communicate effectively with both contractors and stakeholders.

Responsibilities of the Senior M&E Project Manager

The involvement that the Senior M&E Project Manager will have in both Mechanical and Electrical biases:

Electrical

  • Provide electrical mission critical system review services to local data centre operations teams
  • Participate in and document the data centre commissioning (Integrated System Test) for new and retrofitted data centres
  • Review and develop detailed scripts for change management request ("CMR") activities
  • Travel to data centre sites for engineering studies, electrical systems audits, start-up testing, and full commissioning, as required
  • Participate in equipment failure or power outage related incident root cause analysis ("RCA")
  • Provide written and verbal instructions to design consultants, installation contractors and validate quality of installed works
  • Review and update data centre electrical "as-built" documentation as re-configurations occur
  • Respond on an as-needed basis to emergencies

Mechanical

  • Provide and review detailed scripts for CMR activities
  • Develop capital project budgets and complex business case analysis
  • Travel to data centre sites for engineering studies, mechanical systems audits, start-up testing, and full commissioning, as required
  • Provide cooling system related RCA
  • Ensure data centre 'as-built' mechanical documentation is accurate
  • Respond on an as-needed basis to emergencies
