Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor Job Profile:

A top tier main contractor is looking for a Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor to join their team working on data centre construction projects. This position is to be based in Sweden on a rotation basis with rotation being offered every three weeks. An allowance, accommodation, and travel will all be provided.

Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor Key Activities

The successful Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Overseeing the administration and change order process associated with the MEP packages
  • Ensure all changes are captured and costings appropriately assessed and validated prior to issuing to the Design Team and Client
  • Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the project team and/or the client.
  • Assisting in establishing a client's requirements and undertaking feasibility studies
  • Performing risk, value management and cost control
  • Advising on procurement strategy
  • Identifying, analysing, and developing responses to commercial risks
  • Preparing and analysing costings for tenders
  • Allocating work to subcontractors
  • Providing advice on contractual claims
  • Analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports
  • Valuing completed work and arranging payments
  • Maintaining awareness of the different building contracts in current use
  • Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations

Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor Specification

The following will be required of the Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor:

  • Prior experience working on data centre construction projects is preferred
  • Prior experience working for a main contractor is preferred
  • 5+ year experience in Quantity Surveying

Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor Personal Skills and Qualifications

The successful Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor will possess the following:

  • Degree in a relevant field is preferred (Quantity Surveying, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc.)
  • Trades background is of interest, but not essential
