Senior Mechanical Design Engineer


Rate: £30 up to £40 per hour

Contract: 3-6 months

A multi-disciplinary consultancy practice based in Winchester, Hampshire are actively recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer at intermediate or senior level to assist in the delivery of a number of schemes including the conversion of a an existing building into a laboratory.

The experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer or Intermediate Mechanical Design Engineer will join a consultancy design team based in Winchester to help deliver a number of design schemes. Drawings on the projects are done through both AutoCAD as well as MEP Revit and the calculations are done via spreadsheet.

Experience / Skills:

  • At least 5 years' UK experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer in Building Services gained from either a consultancy or d&b environment.
  • Must be up to date on UK building regulations and British Standards.
  • Able to work in a team with clear verbal and written communication.
  • Must be able to be based in Winchester 5 days a week.
  • Must be experienced in running calculations for mechanical services using spreadsheets i.e. not through the use of software such as Hevacomp
  • Ideally competent in producing drawings on 2D AutoCAD, not essential.
  • Ideally competent in the use of MEP Revit software, not essential.
