Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: North London

Company: Main contractor


Due to recent growth and new projects wins, our client is now looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their established team in North London. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing business working on some of London's best high rise residential developments worth up to £80 million.

This is a great job opportunity, for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor, seeking a stable and well respected employer to work for. You'll need to live near to North London, as your base will be here, with site visits 1-1.5 days a week (all over London).


Duties of the Senior Quantity Surveyor

The duties of this Senior Quantity Surveyor positon will include but not limited to the following…

  • Estimating and cost planning.
  • Production of feasibility studies and estimates from minimal design information.
  • Preparation of tender documentation.
  • Monitor the costs of projects and their progress in relation to the programme.
  • Work according to the agreed technical approach and to the required technical quality standards and procedures.

Senior Quantity Surveyor desired experience

The ideal Senior Quantity Surveyor will have the following experience/knowledge…

  • Extensive experience working within a main contractor background.
  • 6 - 8 years of Quantity Surveying experience in the UK.
  • Evidence of leading projects.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the residential sector.
  • Previous experience working on projects worth £25m -80m, ideally high rise.
  • JCT form of contract knowledge.
  • Experience using Cubit and Buildsoft will be advantageous.

Remuneration for this Senior Quantity Surveyor position

The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will receive the following package…

  • Up to £80,000 per annum (depending on experience).
  • Travel expenses paid.
  • 5% pension contribution.
  • Private healthcare.
