Senior Quantity Surveyor

Aldershot, Surrey

£70,000 plus package

An exciting opening with a major player in the UK's residential market. The vacancy for a Senior Quantity Surveyor within their Southern Counties division which includes areas such as Surrey, Sussex and Kent predominantly.

Roles and responsibilities

With a number of major residential developments on the go, the role will be office based with site visits when required. They have a successful commercial team in place so the successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will slot straight into a friendly working environment.

Traditional housing Senior Quantity Surveyor role, managing approximately 3 sites at any time, procuring and managing subcontractors, carrying out monthly CVR's, ad-hoc cost exercises, assisting with mentoring and coaching trainees.

The operational area covers south of the M3 across to west Kent. The majority of the sites are currently in Sussex, regular travel to some of these on or close to the south coast will be required.

Desired experience for the Senior Quantity Surveyor:

  • Minimum 5 years UK construction experience
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management ideally
  • Prior experience working for a housebuilder / residential developer
  • Proven longevity with previous employers (not a new job every year!)
  • Experience managing and training junior Surveyors is advantageous.
  • You must be able to report and communicate with stakeholders at all levels
